Windsurfing has a long history in the UAE. The calm, flat lagoons around Abu Dhabi and Dubai's sheltered bays are ideal for learning, while the East Coast's ocean breeze and occasional wave offers more advanced sailing for experienced windsurfers. Best Windsurfing Spots
Abu Dhabi offers the most consistent flat-water conditions. Al Bateen Beach and the waters around Yas Island are popular with beginners and intermediate riders year-round.
Dubai — the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) hosts regular windsurfing events and offers beginner courses. The beach conditions are good for flat-water racing and freeride.
Fujairah — the East Coast's winter trade winds (10–20 knots) combined with the ocean swell make for exciting wave sailing for intermediate and advanced windsurfers. Local windsurfing schools offer tuition across all levels.

Dubai Kite Beach
Dubai's Kite Beach (Jumeirah) is the city's prime kitesurfing hub, with consistent thermal winds, flat water, and a buzzing beach scene. Home to several kite schools and rental centers.
Fujairah
Fujairah is the UAE's premier surfing and diving destination, facing the Indian Ocean on the East Coast. Consistent winter swells and vibrant coral reefs make it a must-visit.
Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah's long, undeveloped coastline catches the Shamal winds beautifully. An emerging kite destination with less crowding than Dubai.
Sharjah — Al Hamriyah Beach
