Fujairah Diving Guide: The UAE's Best Underwater World
Why Fujairah?
Fujairah's East Coast is the best place to dive in the UAE, by a significant margin. While the West Coast (Arabian Gulf) has diving, the East Coast's proximity to the Indian Ocean means cleaner water, better visibility, healthier reefs, and more diverse marine life.

Top Dive Sites
Martini Rock
A submerged pinnacle rising from 12m to 5m below the surface. Famous for its resident Napoleon wrasse, large schools of fusiliers, and — if you're lucky — whale sharks during the season.
Snoopy Island, Dibba
Technically a snorkel/shallow dive site (3–12m), but exceptional. Green sea turtles are practically guaranteed. The coral gardens are pristine and the fish life is extraordinary for the depth.
Shark Island
Don't let the name deter you — the white-tip reef sharks here are docile and curious. The site sits at 15–25m and features dramatic rocky formations.
Inchcape 1 & 2
Two historic wrecks that have become artificial reefs. Inchcape 1 sits at 15m, covered in soft corals; Inchcape 2 at 25m. Both attract moray eels, lionfish, and schooling fish.
Car Cemetery
A deliberately sunk collection of old vehicles that have transformed into a thriving artificial reef. Quirky and surprisingly rich in marine life.

Certification Requirements
Most sites require PADI Open Water (or equivalent) certification. Some advanced sites like Lima Rock (Musandam) require Advanced Open Water. Several operators offer beginner discovery dives for uncertified visitors.
