About RAK Wing Foil School
Ras Al Khaimah catches the strongest and most consistent Shamal winds in the UAE — making it the best emirate for high-performance wing foiling and kitesurfing. RAK Wing Foil School was established by a team of ex-kitesurfing instructors who transitioned to wing foiling in 2022 and haven't looked back.
The school operates from a private beach north of RAK city, away from tourist crowds and boat traffic. Conditions are excellent: 1–2m water depth, warm temperatures, and winds averaging 18–25kn during the Shamal season.
Courses Offered
Wing Foiling Fundamentals (2 Days)
A weekend intensive covering everything from zero to sustained foiling. Two full days (approx 6 hours on water) with small groups.

Fast Track Private Course (1 Day)
8 hours of private, one-on-one coaching. Ideal for athletes from other board sports (surfing, snowboarding, skating) who want to accelerate their progression.
Price: AED 1,400 per person
Wing Foiling Downwinders
For intermediate and advanced riders. Guided downwind runs along the RAK coast using the Shamal. One of the best experiences in UAE water sports.
Price: AED 350 per person per downwinder (own equipment required)

Price: AED 300 per 2-hour session
Equipment Fleet
The school runs a curated fleet of wing foiling kit:
Boards: Fanatic Sky Wing 75L and 95L (beginner/intermediate); Fanatic Sky Wing 55L (advanced)
Wings: Duotone Echo 5.0m, 6.0m (primary beginner); Duotone Slick 4.0m, 5.0m (advanced/strong wind)
Foils: Slingshot Hover Glide and Fanatic/Duotone foils across 800–1400cm² front wing options — beginners start on the largest (1400cm²) wing for easier lift at low speed
All equipment is serviced at the start of each Shamal season (May). Riders are not permitted to use school equipment without staff supervision.
What's Included
All courses include: Equipment (board, wing, foil, helmet, impact vest), safety kayak with trained observer, video coaching session, debrief and session notes
Not included: Transport to/from RAK, accommodation, personal insurance
Who Is This School For
Ideal for: riders from surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, or kitesurfing backgrounds. Previous board sport experience significantly accelerates wing foiling progression. The instructors have designed the Fast Track course specifically for athletes who understand body position and edge control.
Complete beginners are welcome on the 2-day Fundamentals course — it just takes longer to reach foiling.
Nearby Accommodation
Al Hamra Fort Hotel (20 minutes south) and the Marriott Al Hamra (15 minutes south) are the closest options. The school can arrange a local accommodation referral on request.
