About Abu Dhabi Kite Surf School
Established in 2012, Abu Dhabi Kite Surf School (ADKS) is the capital's premier water sports training centre. Based on the calm, shallow waters of Al Bateen Beach on Abu Dhabi's western coastline, ADKS has trained over 3,000 students from complete beginners to competition-level riders.

Courses Available
Beginner Kitesurfing (12 hours)
Our flagship IKO Level 1–3 course takes complete beginners to independent riding in 3 days. Includes:
- Theory session (kite physics, meteorology, safety)
- Body dragging and kite control on the beach
- Water relaunch and board recovery
- First rides in shallow water
- IKO Level 3 certification
Cost: AED 1,800 per person (includes all equipment)
Intermediate Progression (6 hours)
For IKO Level 3+ riders who want to improve upwind riding, transitions, and begin jumping.
Cost: AED 950 per person
Advanced / Big Air
One-on-one coaching for experienced riders. Customised session plans focusing on jumping technique, kite loops, or wave riding.
Cost: AED 600 per hour
Windsurfing Beginner (8 hours)
VDWS-accredited windsurfing course running over 2 days. Covers rigging, water starts, tacking, and jibing.
Cost: AED 1,400 per person
Equipment Rental
Gear rental is available for certified riders:
- Kite + bar + board: AED 250/session
- Windsurf rig + board: AED 180/session
- Wetsuit (winter): AED 40/session
Location
Al Bateen Beach, Abu Dhabi — 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi city centre. Paid parking available on site. The school has a shaded rest area, storage lockers, outdoor showers, and a small café.
